What is Hypnosis?

Hello everyone, I am Blaine Lambert at AcatalepticHypnosis.com, I will be your host and hypnotist. Today we will be talking about Hypnosis:

Hypnosis has many definitions in popular culture. This is my definition:

1) There are 4 states of brain activity:

Beta 30-15 Hz. This is a normal waking state of mind.

Alpha 14-8 Hz. This is a relaxed, day dreamy sort of state of mind.

Theta 7-5 Hz. This is a very relaxed state just above sleep state of mind.

Delta 4-1 Hz. This is sleep.

2) Internal focus vs External focus - shifting the attention to an entirely internal focus.

3) Through decreasing the brain activity to a low Alpha or Theta state while shifting the entire attention to an internal focus, one can achieve a state of mind akin to a waking dream.

In this waking dream the boundary between real and imagined is able to be overcome and new experiences that help the individual are able to be created and grant them the resources and practice to reach their goals.

Hypnosis is a wonderful tool that is able to help a person create change, form a new habit, break a habit, reduce pain and so much more.

Experience Hypnosis!

What is hypnosis? It is a method to focus the mind into a trance.

What is a trance? It is a state of focused concentration.

What do we use the trance for? We use the trance to build into your neurology the experiences you need to help you reach your goals.

Does hypnosis work? Yes, hypnosis and trance are very effective in helping people reach their goals.

Does hypnosis work immediately? Hypnosis is a skill that involves focused concentration and an almost entirely inward focus. The more that someone practices achieving this state, the more effective and immediate the results.
